안녕하세요. 저는 울산 남구청에서 진행 중인 여성내일이음센터에서 진행 중인 초등돌봄지도사 양성과정 1기 수업을 듣고 있는 교육생 염경화라고합니다.

저는 결혼과 육아로 인해 경력단절 5년차에 접어들며 점차 복직과 사회생활에 대한 두려움을 느껴 갈 때 쯤 ‘ 초등돌봄지도사 양성과정’ 교육모집을 한다는 문자를 받았습니다. 평소 이 직업을 가져보지 않겠냐는 말을 듣고 막연하게 검색만 해보았을 뿐 시작을 하지 못하고 있었기에 망설임 없이 지원서, 자기소개서를 접수하여 면접을 볼 수 있게 되었습니다.

면접에는 예상보다 많은 사람들이 오셔서 긴장되었지만, 편안하게 대답을 할 수 있도록 안내해주시고 질문해주셔서 좋은 기회로 일주일 후부터 바로 수업을 들게 되었습니다.

첫 수업 또한 기대, 설렘, 긴장되는 마음으로 참석하였는데 강사님 소개와 앞으로의 교육편성, 일정 및 내용들을 들으면서 생각했던 것 이상으로 흥미로운 교육과 직업 실습을 해 볼 수 있는 시간들이 많아 빠지지 않고 최선을 다해 배우고 싶었습니다.

첫 번째, 두 번째 이론 수업을 들은 수 초등 돌봄이 우리 사회에 왜 이렇게 중요하게 되었는지 와 초등돌봄지도사로서 해야 하는 일이 주어진 시간동안 있어야 한다는 사명감과 책임감을 가지게 되었습니다. 건강한 신체와 관련한 이론 수업에서는 전문선생님과 함께 평소 깊게 배우기 어려웠던 아이들의 성장과 관련된 부분을 심도 있게 배우고, 함께 운동을 해보며 나부터 바른 태도와 습관을 가지고 아이들을 지도해야겠다는 생각을 가졌습니다.

첫 실습은 도서관에서의 독서교육였는데 전문가 선생님께서 실감나는 동화책 활용수업방법을 알려주셨고 실제로 동화를 찾아 읽고 나만의 독후활동, 발표시간을 가졌습니다. 제공해주신 독후활동지로 집에 돌아가서 아이와 책육아를 실천하며, 어떻게 하면 아이들에게 책을 자연스럽고 친근하게 느끼게 하고 재미있게 내용을 전달할 수 있을까 생각할 수 있는 시간 이였습니다.

두 번째 요리 실습 또한 요리학원에 가서 무지개초밥, 개구리버거를 만들어 보며 즐겁고 색다른 경험을 해볼 수 있었습니다. 모든 과정에서 내가 초등ㄹ 돌봄 지도사가 되었을 때 어떤 식으로 활용할 수 있는지 생각할 수 있는 기회가 되었습니다. 수업 전에도 자료를 미리 꼼꼼하게 준비해주셔서 미리 오늘 수업을 준비 할 수 있었고, 수업도중 궁금한 것에 대해 질문 시간을 갖거나 자료 보충을 해주셔서 수업 이해도가 높아졌습니다. 매 수업이 짧다고 느껴질 만큼 배울 점이 많았고, 초등돌봄지도사의 꿈을 이룬다면 지금 배운 것들을 자신 있게 잘 활용할 수 있을 것입니다.

마지막으로 같은 꿈과 열정을 가진 사람들과 함께 배울 수 있는 기회를 주셔서 감사하고 처음에는 좋은 기회라고만 생각했는데 5주차가 지난 다음에는 개인적으로 내 스스로가 많이 성장하고 생각과 마음가짐이 더 자신 있고 용기 있게 바뀐 소중한 기회라는 생각이 듭니다.

앞으로도 많은 사람들이 이러한 수업을 듣고 적성, 꿈을 찾을 수 있었으면 하는 바램입니다.
